Speaking Engagements

Hi, I'm Zac, and my life has been a whirlwind of experiences, each shaping me into the person I am today. I would love to share those with you.

Long story, less long:

After Hurricane Andrew and the promise of “white sand” I moved from South Florida to Upstate New York. From the world of mixed martial arts and Jiu-Jitsu to the halls of an Ivy League University, my life has been a whirlwind of diverse experiences and profound growth.

School and home had their challenges. Despite numerous suspensions and being written off by many, I defied expectations by pioneering the development of a nationally recognized program. This initiative, now a model for schools nationwide, ensures students receive essential meals during extended breaks. This early success laid the foundation for my passion for fighting for others.

I was still trying to figure out how to fight for others, but I became really good at fighting others. I found connection and passion in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. A pivotal moment occurred when I found myself stranded in Alaska working in a pizzeria to buy a ticket back home. My true passion was taking the fight off the mats to helping children and students facing challenges like my own. Eventually I was able to get back home and I applied to join the same organization in Buffalo, NY, that had once helped my grandfather. Working overnight shifts, I put myself through college, even pursued certification as an EMT, and ultimately attained my master’s degree in social work. Far cry from what I once was.

Now I am an internationally recognized expert in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, working for an Ivy League University and contributing to publications that are on the forefront of the field. I have helped dozens of organizations and schools across the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe to improve their outcomes and become learning organizations.

Today, I stand as an internationally recognized expert in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, working at an Ivy League University. I regularly contribute to innovative publications and have guided numerous organizations and schools across the globe to achieve better outcomes and become learning organizations.

Through life's highs and lows, one truth has become clear: relationships are everything. Whether forged on the mats or through partnerships with colleagues, I've witnessed the immense power of authentic human connections.

Now, as the founder of Zulu 2 Alpha Consulting, I’m on a mission to share what I’ve learned. With engaging stories and down-to-earth wisdom, I’m here to inspire your team and show you the power of genuine connections.
